Aspen Everlasting

Have you ever dreamed of waking up one morning and finding out you are a princess?
A real princess?
I know I have. Who hasn’t wanted the ‘fairy tale ending’? Princess. Prince. Palace. Servants. Leisure and love and every dream you have ever dreamt—fulfilled.
But sometimes, discovering one is a princess doesn’t prove to be the ticket to Utopia one expects . . .
Aspen, a normal sixteen-year-old high school junior copes with a normal teenager’s life. Friends, a budding romance, school politics, homework, siblings.
And then she discovers that her life is anything but.
Normal, that is.
In one 24 hour period, not only does she discover she and her siblings are (1)not human and (2)children of the heir to a fairy queendom, but also (3)their lives and the lives of many around them are in mortal danger and (4)there are an equal number of common acquaintances that cannot be trusted. Behind a friendly face may lurk an assassin. Or kidnapper.
I probably don’t have to tell you it is quite a day.
But all will be well if Aspen marries the son of the evil queen, remains a prisoner in the castle, allows the even more evil queen to overrun the queendom, and foregoes ever seeing her family, or friends—or happiness—again.
Yeah. Those choices don't sound great to me, either.
Aspen, Everlasting is a fun, energetic, exciting romp through the forests somewhere between here and the kingdom of the fairies. It is peopled by characters who could easily pass as the family next door. Or the teachers and students of the local high school.
And who prove to be anything but.
Got teens? Or anyone who enjoys a good fantasy?
Grab yourself a copy and buckle up!

About the book:

Aspen Foster thinks she’s just a normal sixteen-year-old, but when her car’s caught in a flash flood, Aspen and her sister discover the superhuman strength they never knew they had. Soon Aspen learns she’s not normal at all. She’s an Evermortal fairy, with powers beyond her wildest dreams. But the more Aspen finds out about her family’s past, the more dangerous her future becomes. This riveting fantasy is full of action, adventure, and romance. Suspenseful and exhilarating!

  1. It does sound like fun.
Princess? Nope. Not for me. That privilege comes at a price higher than I am prepared to pay. Life under constant scrutiny? Shudder.

  2. I would have enjoyed this when I was growing up! Now, as EC says, I realize the responsibilities and lack of private life that real princesses have. But when you're a kid, it's nice to dream!
