The dial moved though, from music to local up-dates on who died that day, to soap operas, and Arthur Godfrey. I have a kitchen radio (though it is normally tuned to NPR!). My grandpa always had the radio on, and so do I. Songs can really take me back too, which is one of the reasons I am trying to find new music for new memories with my own children.
visiting through Twisted Tuesday Link-UpAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06854211214418987635noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3723327840869334395.post-41329081545109248022013-07-09T21:19:25.616-06:002013-07-09T21:19:25.616-06:00I grew up in a household where Country was King! ...I grew up in a household where Country was King! Very nice. Such great memories and you know, I play the radio or some sort of music around the house all the time and I've always hoped that it would make an impression on my kids and that someday they'd remember it fondly. My mom used to listen to her records on a big old record player/radio. It was a piece of furniture and the radio crackled as Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass bursted forth from its speakers.Linda Royhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11285985403444531922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3723327840869334395.post-28605774003954739502013-07-09T16:38:39.383-06:002013-07-09T16:38:39.383-06:00What a beautiful experience! I still occaisionaly watch some episodes on Netflix.

I regards to the beat of music, back when I lived in a house at the head of a T. I used to hear the pop-poppa, pop-poppa sound growing closer until I was sure it was on my front lawn. I'd look out to see another kid with a $5K sound system with a $200 rust bucket wrapped around it, turning the corner.George Stringamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11375285536941813368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3723327840869334395.post-8252524863380134372013-07-09T09:58:20.894-06:002013-07-09T09:58:20.894-06:00Oh, Diane ...
