How I Spent My Summer Vacation

Recipe for fun:
Eleven-plus kids.
Five mothers.
One Gramma.
Two gracious hosts.
And lots and lots of sunshine . . .
Yesterday, my daughters, daughters-in-law and grandkids spent the morning at my cousins' amazing home 'in the bush'.
Picking raspberries. Roasting hot dogs. Hiking through the bush.
Umm . . .
Would it be cliche to say that a good time was had by all?
Because it was . . .

Back from the bush and counting noses.

  2. Raspberry jelly. Elixir! My dad said it was worth seeds under his bridges. As children that was a mysterious statement to us, but now I know he was right.

    1. Seeds under bridges just lets you enjoy the good old raspberry that much longer. Right?

  4. Diane, your grandkids are SO sweet! And no doubt it was exhausting, but you adults made wonderful memories for those little ones to pull out when they're as old as we are :)

    1. Oh, I hope you're right! They all had so much fun. Running and playing in the bush. What a fabulous day! Reminded me of days spent at my Gramma Berg's. Over fifty years ago...

  6. It's winter here so G is doing okay, but I feel for your daughter having been heavily pregnant three times through our Aussie summer.
