It's winter here in Edmonton, Alberta.
I know this will come as no surprise. It's been cold and snowy for over two months.
But now it's officially official.
So, once again, Husby says it's time to escape.
And I'm agreeing!
This year, we're off to Guadeloupe.
Two months of sun and sea.
I will stay in touch, Wifi (and weather) permitting.
Wherever you happen to be!
Good for you! I live where the winter is short but still has plenty of freezing temps.
ReplyDeleteIt rarely snows
But the north wind still blows
Need few winter clothes
That's how it goes
I suppose
Enjoy your holiday.
Wow, I'm envious, not so much on your trip, but snow and real winter is a thing, I like. But the murky, dark and moist thing, Denmark calls winter is a thing, I could do without. I just realized that I live more to the North than you do, ergo uor days are even shorter, but the Golf current keeps us warm.
ReplyDeleteGrumpy, murky MotherOwl speaking, sorry.
Have a wonderful trip.
Oooo . . . have a wonderful time, Diane and Husby!
ReplyDeleteHave fun.
ReplyDeleteMind you my smoke filled eyes would LOVE some snow and ice.
Happy New Year, Diane, and may you enjoy many sunny days on your vacation.
ReplyDeleteGuadeloupe is where they film the TV series Death in Paradise, I love the series mostly for the gorgeous scenery. I wouldn't mind staying in that house on the beach which is where the detective lives, although it probably isn't real, I can imagine sitting on that porch and watching the waves.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous time and please take lots of photos for us.
Happy New Year, and Bon Voyage!
